Keep kids busy at half-term

ACTIVITIES and fun events have been arranged by the Town Council to keep kids busy, active and entertained during half-term.

A range of events involving everything from football to theatre and crafts are being put on in the week Monday 21st – Friday 25th February.

This includes some free half-term arts workshops for children under 12.

All sessions will be held at the Roses Sports Pavilion, on North Warren Road, from Monday 21st to Friday 25th February.

There, kids will be able to make and decorate their own masks.

Throughout the week they will also act, play games and compete in a singing competition.

All children must be supervised by an adult.

Also, football-mad youngsters from Gainsborough are being invited to take part in a soccer camp at half term.

Deano’s Pro Soccer Academy’s two day soccer camp offers those aged 5-14 years old the opportunity to get stuck in and enjoy five-a-side games, cowboys and indians, killers and much more.

A spokesman said: “Bring a packed lunch and your friends for two days of fun with trained and qualified instructors.”

Deano’s Pro Soccer Academy’s two day soccer camp costs £20 and will be held at Marshalls Sports Ground, Middlefield Lane, Gainsborough on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th February from 10am – 3pm.
