An inspirational Gainsborough teenager who is embarking on a fundraising quest after losing her mum to cancer says she ‘wants to live life and try and make a change.’

Joy Green, 14, completed the 5k Pretty Muddy Race for Life at Clumber Park on Sunday, September 6 with her grandma, Helen Frost, in memory of her mum who sadly passed away last year.

Joy said: “I want to be different and not just sit around on a phone or computer, wasting the hours away, waiting for something to happen me. I want to try and make a change.”
