The UK’s leading plastics recycler, Hemswell based ECO Plastics, has appointed a new chief executive officer.
Chris Brown, an industry veteran of more than 18 years, joins from APPE UK.
He will take over from business’ founder and former managing director Jonathan Short, who becomes deputy chairman.
The ECO Plastics’ board line-up also sees the appointment of new chairman Bill Reeves and chief finance officer Darren Marr.
Under the new structure Mr Brown will be responsible for ECO Plastics’ day to day operations and management.
Mr Short will step back to focus on innovation and work with Mr Reeves on the business’ medium and long-term strategy.
Mr Short said Mr Brown was well respected in the industry and would ‘fit right in’, adding that the announcement showed ‘huge progress’ since ECO Plastics re-opened in 2010.
