More than 200 nurses, allied health professionals, doctors, students, other health professionals and agencies, including the police, attended the event.

Key speakers included Dame Jackie Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of Newcastle-upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Yvonne Coghill OBE, Director for Workforce Race Equality Standard Implementation at NHS England.

Held at the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster, health and social care staff attending took part in a series of workshops which covered a range of topics including self-neglect, occupational therapy group activities, family therapy, perinatal mental health and how mental health experts work with the police.

Dr Deborah Wildgoose, RDaSH’s Executive Director of Nursing and Quality, said: “The event was a fantastic success. All of the feedback was positive. We covered some really interesting themes for health professionals and welcomed staff from partner organisations, including South Yorkshire Police.

“I want to thank everyone who was involved in making the day such a success and to everyone who came along.”
