Gainsborough: Woman and cat rescued from fire

A woman and cat were rescued from a fire at a property in Gainsborough last night (Sunday).

The fire broke out in the living room of the home in Britannia Terrace at around 10.20pm.

Fire crews from Gainsborough, Misterton and Saxilby were all called to the scene. The team from Gainsborough went into the property where they rescued a woman and cat.

The woman was treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire caused severe damaged to the living room, while the rest of the ground floor suffered smoke damage.
