The Gainsborough Standard has teamed up with Marshall’s Yard to offer one lucky reader the chance to be Santa’s helper.

As well as helping to turn on the Christmas lights in Marshall’s Yard, the winner will get a fantastic hamper containing everything needed for a great Christmas Day.

The M&S hamper, worth £150, includes everything from chocolates and biscuits to a Christmas pudding and crackers. Added to that will be a tasty turkey for the traditional Christmas dinner, an advent calendar to count down the days to the big day and a Monopoly board game.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize is tell us why you should be Santa’s helper.

The competition is open to entrants aged 13 and under.

Entries should be a maximum of 200 words, which can be emailed to the Standard at newsroom@gainsboroughstandard.co.uk or dropped in to the Standard’s reception in Britannia House, Marshall’s Yard.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Wednesday 13th November.

The winner will be contacted by the Marshall’s Yard team on Thursday 14th November, so don’t forget to include a daytime contact number and email address.

The winner must also be available to be at Marshall’s yard on Friday 15th November at 6pm to help Santa switch on the lights.
