Gainsborough: Three arrested after house burglary and high speed pursuit

Three men have been arrested following a burglary and high speed police pursuit.

The burglary took place at East Ferry, Gainsborough between 9am and 2.30pm on Thursday 3rd July.

The offenders broke in to a dwelling and removed car keys to a nearly new Land Rover Defender.

This vehicle was later involved in a high speed pursuit in Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire and deliberately rammed two police vehicles.

The second ramming resulted in the vehicle crashing on the A631 in Beckingham.

Three men were arrested from the car and transported to Lincoln County Hospital.

No-one was seriously injured.

The arrested men were Dale Middleton from Harworth, and he was charged with burglary, theft of Landrover, attempted GBH, dangerous driving, disqualified driving and no insurance.

John Grange-Smith of Richardson Rise, Gainsborough, who was charged with burglary, theft of Landrover and possession of cannabis.

And Jake Turner of Richardson Rise, Gainsborough, and he was charged with burglary, theft of Landrover, theft of Nissan Micra and driving offences.

They appeared at Lincoln District Magistrates Court on Monday 7th July and they next appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 21st July.

Grange-Smith and Middleton were remanded in custody and Turner was remanded on bail.
