Britain’s Got Talent visited the newly opened fitness studio Vertical Joy in Gainsborough in their nationwide search for fresh talent last week.

The auditions, on Monday October 12, marked BGT’s move into the East Midlands to expand the range of talent the national show attracts.

Gainsborough’s budding stars of all ages were welcome to showcase their abilities before a team from behind the ITV show and Jodie King, general manager of Vertical Fitness, said the town ‘did not disappoint.’

She added: “The auditions went really well and everyone certainly did the town proud with pole dancing, stand-up, hula hoop and singing performances amongst other acts.

It is not often you get the opportunity to say that Britain’s Got Talent is coming to the place where you work because they thought we might have some talent to share with the country.”

Britain’s Got Talent is a nationally recognised TV show which introduces and showcases the many great talents across the nation.

With the new season expected to air in 2016, the production team visited different towns and cities from across the UK to reach out to talented individuals from all walks of life.

It is expected that the Gainsborough auditionees will find out if they have landed a spot on the show by the end of the year.
