One of the men accused of murder following a blaze at a house in Gainsborough has been convicted of murder by a jury at Lincoln Crown Court.
Martynas Kupstys had earlier admitted in evidence that he caused the death of the victim Ivans Zdanovicvs, 24, unlawfully but said he did not intend to kill Mr Zdanovics or cause him serious harm.
Kupstys claimed that he checked the terraced property in Etherington Street before starting a series of fires and he believed the no-one else was in.
Kupstys, 26, of Aegir Close, Gainsborough, denied the murder of Ivans Zdanovics between 15th and 18th January 2014.
The jury, which has been deliberating over four days, has yet to reach a verdict in the case of a second man, Andrus Giedraitis, and will continue their deliberations today (Tuesday 14th April).
Giedraitis, 30, of Riseholme Road, Gainsborough, has also denied a charge of murder.
