The following people from the Gainsborough area have recently appeared before the courts.

THEFT

Tony Young, 33, of Frampton Terrace, Gainsborough. Stole fragrances to the value of £68.50 belonging to Boots. Committed to prison for one week.

Raymond Armstrong. 65, of St Margaret’s High Street, Gainsborough. Having entered a building as a trespasser, namely a bar, stole cash and receipts to the value of £670. Committed to prison for eight weeks. Also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £180 and a victim surcharge of £80.

Janis Locmelis, 30, of Coleridge Gardens, Lincoln. Stole one packet of fish to a value unknown beloging to Sainsbury’s. Fined £50. Also ordered to pay court costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Jason Pell, 27, of Norris Street, Lincoln. Stole bottles of washing gel, to the value of £34.71, belonging to Savers. Community order made with rehabilitation requirement. Fined £50. Also ordered to pay court costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £40.

MOTORING

Joseph Watts, 34, Scotter Common, Gainsborough. Drove without care and attention. Disqualified from driving for six months. Also ordered to pay an £85 fine, £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £20.

Scott Roberts, 24, of Almond Avenue, Lincoln. Speeding. Driving record endorsed with four points. Fined £165. Also ordered to pay court costs of 85 and a victim surcharge of £25.

Jason Lee, 43, of Summergangs Lane, Gainsborough. Drove a vehicle in which two small children were sat on adult’s knees without seatbelts or restraints. Driving record endorsed with three points. Fined £250. Also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

TV LICENCE

Valerie Green, of Water Works Street, Gainsborough. Used a colour television without a licence. Fined £200. Also ordered to pay court costs of £120 and a victim surcharge of £20.
