FUN for all of the family can be enjoyed this weekend at Gainsborough College.
Gainsborough College and Gainsborough Learning Communities are hoping for good weather so that all the free fun activities can be enjoyed after the official opening by the Mayor.
A spokesman from the college said: “Youngsters should love the face-painting, ball-pond and bouncy castle, while the more adventurous will enjoy the challenge of the assault course, bungee run and pedal karts.”
“Students from the college will be on hand to offer hair and beauty treatments, decorate cakes, make cocktails, and test your fitness.”
“All parts of the college will showcase their skills including automotive, bricklaying, carpentry and joinery and painting and decorating.”
They continued: “You are welcome to try your hand at flower arranging, jewellery-making and egg painting and there will also be advice on healthy eating, exercise and keeping safe at home.”
Centre manager Leslie Whiting added: “We’d like everyone to come along and see what they can learn from local providers as well as making the most of the free fun activities.”
She added: “We have around 20 different organisations providing more than 30 different activities. It’s a huge opportunity for the college and the town and we hope everyone will support it.”
The Fun Day star will also come along and create mayhem in some guise or other, so keep a look out for Ali G, Harry Enfield. Austin Powers and many more.
The Fun Day will be held at Gainsborough College on Saturday 19th March from 11am-3.30pm. Entry and activities are free for all of the family.
