Prize presentations and changes of office all took place at the recent meeting of an Isle organisation.
Epworth Men’s Society hosted its annual general meeting at the town’s Red Lion Hotel.
A year of successful meetings was reported by retiring chairman, Eddie Mardell.
He said the organisation had numerous speakers, plus quiz and games nights during the previous 12 months and had also continued to attract more members.
Some 30 members attended the AGM, had a meal and applauded when the trophies from a quiz night in January and a games night in February were presented.
The overall quiz night winner was Terry Condliff, who was presented with an award.
Terry also collected the whist championship trophy from the games night.
The darts trophy from the games night went to Peter Torr with Robin Yeardley taking the dominoes award and was also overall champion for that event.
Officers elected for the coming year were: chairman Mick Applequist, vice chairman Barry Briggs, treasurer Mick Ford, minutes secretary Stuart Taylor, speakers’ secretary Ken Bickerstaff and press officer Eddie Mardell.
