POLICE are repeating their warning to drivers after a van was stolen due to the driver leaving the keys in the ignition.
A silver transit van was stolen yesterday (Thursday) when the driver left it alone for a couple of minutes at Corringham Road Industrial Estate, in Gainsborough, around 10.30am.
This followed an earlier theft in Corringham Road on Tuesday when a Mercedes minibus was stolen while the driver got out to post a letter.
Both vehicles have been recovered.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “Commercial vehicles are being targeted in the area and drivers are being urged to never leave their keys in the ignition – even for a couple of seconds.”
