Safety fears for man lead to Doncaster road closure

A Doncaster road was closed to traffic after concerns were raised about a man’s safety.

South Yorkshire Police received a report from a member of the public at 12.50pm today (Tuesday), a spokesman said: “There was a report of concern for the welfare of a man on Becket Road.

“The road was closed while we spoke to the man and made sure he was safe. The incident is now resolved, and the man is fine.”

First Bus service confirmed that there was a delay to the 76/77 service around the Holmes Market because of the closure. The road is now open.
