A CRESWELL woman was pushed to the floor during a bust-up with her husband, a court heard.

Ian Hart, 43 returned to their Skinner Street home at 5pm on 17th March and refused to eat the dinner wife Tracey had cooked for him. He went to watch rugby on television and came downstairs two hours later and began calling her names.

Mrs Hart threw a cardboard box at her husband and it hit him on the head. Hart was arrested and told police they had assaulted each other, showing officers a scratch to his neck where she had allegedly grabbed him.

He pleaded guilty to assault. District Judge Andrew Davison adjourned sentence until 2nd May.
