A Gainsborough man jailed for drug dealing has had his jail term slashed by top judges on appeal.
David Charles Kisby, 22, was jailed for 15 months at Lincoln Crown Court in March after admitting possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
Judge Peter Thornton QC, sitting with Lord Justice Hooper and Mr Justice MacDuff in London’s Appeal Court, said Kisby was prosecuted after his home was raided last October.
Police found £250 of cannabis, scales and lists which they said were dealing paraphernalia. Kisby claimed he only sold drugs to friends and to fund his own use.
Judge Thornton reduced his sentence to six months after describing Kisby as a “dealer who was lower down the scale”.
