Police are urging landlords to take action as copper thefts from unoccupied properties in the Gainsborough area continue.
The latest offence was reported In Portland Terrace, Gainsborough, last week.
And two houses in High Street, two in Northolme and one in Clinton Terrace have been among more than 10 targeted in the town recently.
Despite eight recent burglary arrests in Gainsborough, the series seems to be continuing and it is thought that several criminals in the county are responsible.
Insp Michelle McIlroy said: “This is a real problem and we need to work together to get to grips with it. We have made several arrests related to burglary in Gainsborough recently and a huge amount of overt and covert work is ongoing, but we need social and private landlords to work with us.”
She added: “One of the main ways criminals are identifying these properties is through ‘to let’ boards.
