Appeal after purse stolen

Police are appealing for information after intruders entered the home of an elderly woman in Manton stealing a purse.

It happened on 11th June between 6.55pm and 7.40pm. The woman was uninjured in the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the purse, which contained a quantity of cash, to come forward. It is a black leatherette purse with a gold clasp.

Officers are warning residents to be vigilant against thieves. Lock doors and secure windows, even when at home. Keep valuables out of sight and do not keep large quantities of money at home.
