St Barnabas Hospice will be hosting its annual cream tea and plant sale at Gainsborough Hospice next month.

Throughout the afternoon there will be a chance to purchase your summer bedding plants from a wide selection.

After making your purchases to get your garden summer ready, you can also enjoy looking around some local craft stalls and indulge in a homemade cream tea.

Ella Beale, corporate fundraiser for St Barnabas, said: “Last year this popular event raised more than £1,200 for hospice care in the West Lindsey area, which is enough to fund more than 10 nurse visits to a patient’s home.

“This year we are hoping to attract more visitors and raise an even greater amount for the hospice.

“The plant sale wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of local people and garden centres donating plants to support the event.

St Barnabas would appreciate any plant donations for this event, so please get in contact if you would like to help.

You can also apply to host a stall on the day, which will cost £20.

The event takes palce on Sunday, May 27 from 1.30pm to 4pm.
