Derbyshire County Council has joined forces with Notts County Council to increased its support for Creswell Crags.

Funding to the Creswell Heritage Trust has increased to support the Creswell Crags visitor attraction for the financial year 2013/2014. It currently receives an annual payment of £38,000 from each.

Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet has given approval to increase the amount to £50,000 in order to match a similar one-off payment from Notts.

The cabinet also approved a £125,000 contribution to support the work of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership over the next two years. D2N2 brings together councils and business leaders to unlock investment and build a resilient economy.
