HEALTH professionals are hoping that people having a baby will be spurred into leading a healthier lifestyle.
Manager of the Pregnancy Assessment Centre at North Lincs and Goole Hospitals Lesley McPhun said: “As midwives we look after the health and well being of the mum-to-be and their unborn baby. We are now able to offer people a holistic, individually, tailor-made package of support for women and their families wanting to live healthier lives.”
This could be anything from healthy eating, fitness, giving up smoking, reducing alcohol consumption, reducing stress and anxiety, building confidence and helping people back into work or further education.
