Students, teachers and assistants were presented with awards at North Kesteven Academy.

The winner of the special school teacher of the year award was Gary Johnson from the Aegir Specialist Academy, Gainsborough.

Coun Patricia Bradwell OBE, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services, said: “It’s not just the traditional subjects and exams that children and young people are thriving in, but in other areas like voluntary work in the community, sports activities or inspiring others around them to achieve their best.

“And of course, the dedication and support of teachers and assistants play a huge part in this success and these awards are a fitting way to recognise and reward this excellence.”
