Firefighters from Aston were called to cool down an HGV lorry that had overheated on the A57.

The incident occurred at 3.30am this morning (Wednesday, 16th April) and involved one truck that had smoke coming from its brakes, which had overheated.

Firefighters used one hosereel jet to damp down the lorry before any fire could spread to the rest of the vehicle.

There was no road closure during the incident.
