APPEAL: Elderly woman, 82, suffers cuts to face after being robbed on Gainsborough street for handbag

Police are appealing for information after an 82-year-old woman was robbed and injured in the street in Gainsborough.

At around 10am on Friday, the elderly woman was walking along Frampton Terrace when she was approached by a man who stole her handbag.

She sustained cuts to her face as a result, but police say it is not quite clear how she was injured.

The victim did not see the offender but police are keen to trace and talk to man seen in the area who may be able to assist with the enquiry. He is described as white, around 6ft tall, with red hair and wearing black clothes.
