THIS week we feature a photo of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School (now High school) pupils.
It looks like a photo of older pupils and was taken in 1959. We think the teacher in the centre of the front row was a Mr Stothard.
In those days there were separate schools for the boys and girls - the Grammar School for the boys and the High School for the girls - which were adjacent to each other.
However, the pupils from each school were strictly kept apart and woe betide anyone who broke that rule!
If anyone can identify the pupils please contact the office on 01427 615323 or 01427 619572.
