Joan Wines welcomed members to the meeting beginning with Jerusalem. She then introduced the speaker, Mike Storr who entertained with a talk entitled Masters of Mirth.

With a series of amusing anecdotes he recalled the great comedians of the Music Hall from 1850 - 1950.

Giving a brief outline of each personality, including Bernard Miles, Stanley Holloway, Gerard Hoffnung and many others he then read one of the well-known and well-remembered monologues.

The business meeting then followed with the roll call a comedian.

The jumble sale had raised £220 for funds.

Transport was arranged for the group meeting at Saxilby on Monday, April 25.

The next Group meeting will be at Saxilby on October 17, and on July 19, it will be an open meeting when the talk will be on Hearing Dogs for the Blind.
