The centre is hosting a course of lectures on Wednesdays in March, to be given by Paul D. J. Howitt-Cowan at Gainsborough House, 18 Parnell Street, Gainsborough, DN21 2NB.
The lectures will begin promptly at 7.30pm and the cost of each separate lecture will be £4 with tea and biscuits available during the interval (donations accepted).
Paul explains that his course of lectures is an opportunity and an open invitation to come and join him to learn more about the history of Gainsborough.
March 9, 18th Century: The Last Renaissance of Gainsborough, which focuses on how Gainsborough has undergone several regenerations in its history, but none more spectacular than the regenerations during the 18c, but does it compare with the 19c and those of the 20th and 21c?
