The stage is set for a forest-full of fun at Worksop’s Acorn Theatre next month as Robin & his Merry Men swing into town for this year’s pantomime, Robin Hood & The Babes In The Wood.

And we have a pair of tickets to give away for the show

This pantomime adventure is on target to send everyone a-quiver as it follows the most outrageous outlaws in history on their side-splitting quest to defeat the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham, rescue the Babes and save Sherwood – all without laddering their tights!

The medieval mayhem is brought magically to life by The Young Theatre Company, featuring a talented cast of 150 young performers aged four to 20.

Alongside them is not so young but just as well-loved panto dame David Cavell as Nurse Nelly.

Joining Robin and the gang will be two very famous guest voices from Saturday night TV.

Peter Dickson, voice of The X-Factor, and Alan Dedicoat, voice of Strictly Come Dancing and The National Lottery’ have both recorded parts of the script specially created for them by the pantomime’s writer and composer, Craig Hawes.

“Peter Dickson’s booming introductions are always guaranteed to give a show the X-Factor,” said Craig.

“And our Strictly Come Dancing scene simply sparkles with Alan Dedicoat’s unmistakable, sequin-covered voice.”

“I’m delighted that they’ve both taken time out of their busy TV schedules to help make this pantomime even more magical.”

The runs from 2nd to 6th December at 7pm, each night, plus a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

Tickets priced £8 are available from the box office on 01909 501817.

However, we have two pairs of tickets for the Thursday night performance (4th December) to give to the lucky reader who can answer this question:

Which of these on of Robin Hood’s merry men: a) Little Jack?, b) Little John, c) Little Simon?

Send your answer, together with your name, address and daytime contact number, to Ronin Hood & The Babes in the Wood competition, Worksop Guardian, 21-27 Ryton Street, Worksop, S80 2AY or email competitions@worksop-guardian.co.uk
