WEIRD and wonderful laughs are on offer as the popular Hoot Comedy Club returns to Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre in 2013.
Topping the bill this month will be Seymour Mace - who comedy site Chortle has described as ‘brilliantly weird’.
Described as ‘a bizarre hybrid of Harry Hill, Half Man Half Biscuit and Viz comic’, Seymour is renowned as a teller of extremely tall tales and twisted one-liners.
He is a former City Life Comedian of the Year and Best Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards. He was also victorious in the Cup A Soup Comedy Challenge.
Seymour has also featured on Dave’s One Night Stand, The Weird World Of Russell Brand, The Stand-Up Show and Clive Anderson’s Chat Room.
He was also a regular in BBC2’s Johnny Vegas sitcom Ideal playing the ill-fated twins Craig and Steve.
Also appearing will be Ben Davids - fresh from an acclaimed stint in the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Ben appeared at the Rock With Laughter show at the LG Arena in Birmingham where he performed in front of 20,000 people over two nights with his finely honed and gently acidic humour.
Jack Kirwan and Ian Crawford also share the bill.
Crwaford was nominated as West Midlands Comedy Forum Best Act 2011 and was the Curveball Comedy Talent Competition winner at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2012.
The Hoot Comedy Club returns to Trinity Arts Centre on Thursday 10th January. Doors are at 7pm.
Tickets are £6 in advance or £7 on the door. To book call 01427 676655 or visit www.trinityarts.co.uk
