TALENTED youngsters are being invited to take part in an exciting new drama initiative in Gainsborough.
The Buzz Club is a Lincolnshire-based Performing Arts project for young people with additional needs, in partnership with SCOPE.
Managed and delivered by Rhubarb Theatre Company and BrickBeat Recording Studios, the sessions will take place in thoughout Lincolnshire and now in Gainsborough!
“As ever there will be a focus on developing a sharing event at the end of the week,” said organiser Maurice Mulligan.
“This will allow the participants and facilitators to bring together all of the skills and pieces of drama and music together and present them in a short celebration of the week’s activity.”
He continued: “The workshops will allow participants to work with highly experienced professional musicians and drama workers. All of the workers are highly experienced in working with young people who have additional needs and deliver regular sessions across the county during term and holiday times.”
Five days of activities have been planned to take place at the YASiG (Young and Safe in Gainsborough) during the last week of August
The sessions will run from 10am until 3pm as usual and are open to participants aged between nine and nineteen.
There will be absolutely no charge for this service as all costs for this special week will be a covered by the County Council.
The only thing that participants will need to provide on the days will be their own lunch.
