ONE of the world’s favourite and most celebrated musicals is coming to Lincoln for a run of thrilling performances.
Jesus Christ Superstar has been stunning and wowing audiences around the world for 40 years this year.
Inspired by the political and personal struggles between Judas and Jesus, Jesus Christ Superstar is a spectacular musical that follows the last week of Jesus’ life.
Beginning with the preparations for his arrival in Jerusalen and ending with his crucifixion - this is a full-throttle and emotionally charged play that gets audiences thinking and feeling as well as singing and dancing.
Originally written as a concept rock-opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, this musical exploded onto the Broadway stage in 1971 - earning itself five Tony Awards nominations by the following year.
With all the unforgettable songs including Hosanna, Everything’s Alright, I Don’t Know How To Love Him and the title song Superstar, this promises to be a musical extravaganza that’s certainly not to be missed.
