The ever-popular Hoot Comedy Club is set to mark its sixth birthday with a special laughter-packed anniversary show next month.
Returning to the Trinity Arts Centre, the night boasts the impressive line up of Shazia Mirza, Helen Keeler, Adam Staunton and usual compere Elliot J Huntley.
Shazia is an award winning British-Asian stand up comedian and columnist from Birmingham - sticking the figurative knife into political correctness with devastatingly funny effect.
She had performed all over the world and has toured the US, Sweden, Denmark, France Holland and Germany.
Her vast array of TV credits include CBS ‘60 Minutes’, NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’, Paramount’s ‘The World Stands Up’ and BBC’s ‘Have I Got News For You’. She has also graced the stage in several plays including ‘The Vagina Monologues’ at the Royal Albert Hall.
Helen Keeler’s ‘sassy, sarcastic humour’, meanwhile was described by Buzz Comedy as ‘delightfully dark’, while Adam Staunton has gained a reputation for his confident and demanding stage presence which has seen him perform alongside the likes of John Bishop, Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican.
The Hoot Comedy Club will be at Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre on Thursday 11th April. Tickets are £6-£7. To book call 01427 676655.
