Comedy star Shappi Khorsandi comes to Lincoln Performing Arts Centre this week with her new show Oh My Country: From Morris Dancing to Morrissey.

Shappi is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her arrival in Britain.

Star of Live At The Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Have I Got News for You and QI, this latest tour is an all new show that sees her reclaiming patriotism and sending a love letter to her adopted land.

She has whip-crack jokes and is effortlessly funny as she handles every subject with a razor-sharp wit, softened only by her deliciously mischievous delivery and endless charm.

Shappi is also the best selling author of A Beginners Guide to Acting English and her debut novel Nina is not OK came out in July.

Shappi was also recently elected president of the British Humanist Society.

She is at the LPAC on Friday, October 7 at 8pm.

Tickets are £15 and £13 on 01522 837600 or www.lpac.co.uk

Please note: The show is suitable for over-16s only.
