TALENTED pupils from Gainsborough’s Queen Elizabeth’s High School are being praised for their musical prowess after wowing an audience at a lunchtime concert.
The sitxth-formers took to the stage at Gainsborough’s All Saints Church to perform their A-level repertoire ahead of upcoming exams.
QEHS music administrator Barbara Hennigan said that the students went down a storm.
“The pupils had to do a performance in front of an audience to help their prepare for an exam in April,” she said.
She continued: “We have a very high level of musical talent here at Queen Elizabeth’s High School.”
Barbara went on to say that the musicians from the school always go down very with audiences outside of school, and usually go on to achieve great things with music later in life.
“They all do very well and take part in many things both in and outside of school and a lot of them go on to study music and be very successful at university,” she said.
She added: “They are always very well received and we get a lot of invitations for our ensembles to go and play at various functions in the wider community.”
“We are very proud of the great variety and depth of talent that we have here are Queen Elizabeth’s High School.”
