THE HOTTEST acts from Gainsborough’s thriving music scene are set to take this summer’s Fake Festival by storm alongside top tribute bands.

This year, Gainsborough Fake Festival will be showcasing some of the most exciting artists in the region who will no doubt be taking the music industry by storm in the future.

Festival goers will have the opportunity to see a hand-picked selection of local talent 12.30pm before top tribute acts Coldplace, Queen B and New 2 take to the stage.

“We feel that Fake Festivals is the perfect platform for unsigned artists to showcase their talent in front of a friendly local crowd,” said Jez Lee, organiser of Fake Festivals.

“Being a festival organisation, we like to encourage local artists to get involved with Fake Festivals as the support acts to the main tribute bands.”

He added: “We understand how difficult it is nowadays for new artists to make it in the industry, so we wanted to provide a platform for them in their own regional area where we can help them gain further exposure.”

The support artists performing at this year’s Gainsborough Fake Festival are Gaucho, Propeller, Revolver, Stereoepic and We’ll Sleep Till Sunset.

“You just never know who’s going to turn up to a Fake Festival,” continued Jez.

“We’ve had professionals from the music industry come along to check out the unsigned artists, the news editor of NME magazine, plus scouts from various record labels and venues come and check them out. So the support artists need to ensure they put on the best performance they can as you just don’t know who will be in the crowd.”
