Award-wining singer, broadcaster and presenter Clare Teal is live at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre this week as part of Lincoln Jazz Week.
And the intimacy of the Arts Centre (LPAC) is something she enjoys.
As much as she loves fronting her big band or her Hollywood orchestra, or presenting her weekly show on BBC Radio 2, Clare still revels in performing in more intimate venues.
Getting close to an audience is a thrilling experience for her.
From The Great American and British Songbooks to the music made popular by her heroes, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Peggy Lee to more contemporary covers and original material Clare loves to create a melting pot of styles and genres.
And it will all be sung in her inimitable style that is rooted in Yorkshire but spreads around the world.
She is at the LPAC on Friday, May 13 at 7.30pm and tickets are £20 from the box office on 01522 837600 or online at www.lpac.co.uk
