Gainsborough Musical Theatre Society are back on stage next month with their version of the classic pantomime Aladdin.

Written by Mark Llewellin, the emphasis is on comedy in this reworking of the traditional tale.

Widow Twankey runs a poodle parlour whilst son Aladdin is a gardener at the palace, where he meets, and falls for, Princess Jasmine.

Meanwhile, the obsequious Vizier aided and abetted by the two hapless henchmen, Kaboodle and Kerfuffle, attempt to undermine the Empress.

When the Vizier meets Abanazar they hatch a plan to ruin Aladdin and his Princess.

Aladdin is on at Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough from 10th to 14th December at 7pm each night plus matinees at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets priced £10 and £8 are available now from Barnes & Son Jewellers in Gainsborough or the box office on 01427 676655 or online at www.microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk/tac
