A new exhibition about the history of the town’s post office will go on display at Gainsborough Heritage Centre next month.
Post and Produce is on display at the centre from 9th November to 18th January 2014.
Gainsborough’s first purpose built main post office was opened 110 years ago, in what is now the heritage centre. This exhibition looks at the history of the post office in the area and will include The Post Office in Pictures - a display courtesy of the British Postal Museum and Archives, and will feature a mock up of the early post office.
Opening times are 9am-3pm on Saturdays and the second and forth Sundays 11am-4pm.
Admission is £3 and £1.50 for members.
