Get ready to blow the roof off the Lincoln Theatre Royal next month as the stand-up comedy event of the year comes to town.
Performing together for the first time double Sony Award winner and star of Mock The Week Gary Delaney, top comedy trickster and star of BBC1’s The Magicians Pete Firman, Chortle Comedy Award winner Jarred Christmas and comedy legend Sean Hughes are The All-Star Stand-Up Tour.
Producer Alex Jarrett commented: “These guys are real masters of the craft with more than 75 years of stand-up experience between them.
“You won’t catch a better comedy night than this in 2016.
“Whether you are a die-hard comedy fanatic or just a casual observer of panel shows, The All-Star Stand-Up Tour is a great night.”
Sean Hughes is an award-winning writer, actor, presenter and comedian.
As a comedian, he is the youngest ever winner of the coveted Perrier Award and his return to the Edinburgh Fringe has garnered constant critical acclaim.
He is probably best known for his long stint as a team captain on BBC2 show Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Sean’s Show on Channel 4 and he has also been in Coronation Street.
Gary Delaney is a razor-sharp one-liner comedian who is widely regarded as one of the most quotable comics in the country.
The sheer number of gags in his shows often leaves the audience struggling to keep up as they can’t stop laughing.
Gary is a regular panellist on BBC2’s Mock The Week and has also appeared on One Night Stand for Dave.
New Zealander Jarred Christmas is another comedic who has come to UK attention through appearances on shows like Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and 8 Out Of 10 Cats on Channel 4, as well Dave show Argumental.
He has also been seen on shows like Russell Howard’s Good News on BBC3 and his popular appearances at comedy clubs around the UK won him a Chortle Award for Best Compere.
Pete Firman is recognised as the UK’s leading comedy magician after shooting to national attention on the prime-time BBC1 show The Magicians.
His skill for fusing magic and comedy has made him an in-demand man and he has written and performed on shows like Monkey Magic, Dirty Magic, Derren Brown’s 3D Magic Spectacular and the Secret World of Magic.
The four comedy stars at the Theatre Royal on April 28 at 7.30pm.
