Everett-Fox Dance School celebrate their 4th birthday (G110408-8)

TALENTED local dancers are gearing up for two big events in the coming weeks.

The first will see 12 dancers from the Everett-Fox School of Dance in Misterton dancing in the Coppelia European Ballet, and the second will be their grand Anniversary Spectacular to celebrate the school’s fourth birthday. Tracey Everett-Fox said that all 90 of her pupils had a real flair for dance and weer excited for the upcoming shows.

“We’ve just been working really hard at rehearsals which are going really well and they’re all very excited,” said Tracey. “The full show in May will have all 90 of our dancers and that’s going to be amazing. There’s going to be a range of dance styles, with everything from ballet to street dance. Our pupils will take you through the songs from Michael Jackson, then they will show off their dance skills by taking you around the world, from Irish to Samba and even an Australian twist.”

She continued: “The kids will just be showing off what they can really do and dazzling everyone with their skills.”

Tracey said that the school had grown immensely in number and in talent since it opened four years ago.

“It’s been a very busy four years,” she said. “The school has grown so much and we are still growing. The first class had only 20 dancers and now we’ve got about 90, and have even more on the waiting list.”

Tracey went on to say that each of her girls had a special gift, and she couldn’t wait for people to see what they are capable of.

“I think they are all great,” said Tracey. “We have a range of abilities, but every child is appearing in the anniversary show because they are all fantastic.

She added: “Most of the children are local to Misterton or from surrounding villages, so there’s quite a good community feel to the school. I’m looking to put on more classes in the future so please get in touch if your child would like to come along and get involved.”
