The new show will be something of a ‘best of ‘ which promises to feature a wealth of comedy anecdotes, misunderstandings and audience banter delivered with Jason’s likeable charm and teasingly intelligent wit.

Jason is will known for his regular TV appearances on shows like Sunday Night at the Palladium (ITV1), Live at the Apollo (BBC1), Have I Got News For You, (BBC1), QI (BBC2) and The Royal Variety Performance (ITV1), of which have all helped establish Jason as a nationally known comic.

Lately, he has been seen moving away from comedy with roles in the BBC1 dramas Ordinary Lies, Moving On and Ripper Street, as well as appearing in the West End in Sweeney Todd and The Producers.

But he assures his fans that comedy remains his first love.

He said: “Some of you might think I’ve had a career change what with all the opera and musical theatre I’ve been doing lately.

“Not a chance, I’m excited to be getting back to what I really love the most – stand up.”

The gig is on Sunday, July 24 and tickets are £18.50 on 844 8542776 or www.plowrighttheatre.com
