Wayne Greenfield leads Gainsborough and Morton Striders home with new PB

Gainborough & Morton Striders AC sent a strong team to the Market Rasen 10K last weekend, an event organised by the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.

The multi-terrain race started and finished with a lap or so of the Racecourse and included a section along a very muddy dirt track in the nearby woods and roads around the course.

Wayne Greenfield led the Striders home in a fabulous new personal best time of 38 mins 02 secs.

Second Strider home was Jon Drake in 38:23 followed by third placed Dan Edwards in 39:23.

Other personal bests were set by Matt Huteson 39:33 and Lee Fenlon 43:19.

Debutants 10K times were recorded by: Mitchell O’Connor 41:45, Hannah Holmes 46:36 and Gregg Smith 48:53.

Other times were:Gary Atkinson 43:19, Craig Ward 43:49, Phil Kitchen 44:07, Helen Robinson 44:08, Glenn Peniston 47:09, Chris Inman 47:53, Mick Wood 48:54, Mark Cutts 48:56, Shaun Boyle 49:35, Neil Broughton 55:30 and Tracey Moseley 56:36.

Meanwhile at the Barnsley 10K, Simon Hunt regeistered a new P.B. with a time of 43 mins 54 secs.
