Just three teams turned out on a rainy Tuesday evening, for Trent Valley Road Cycling Club’s 17-mile two-up team time trial.
It was held on the Laughton, Susworth, Morton circuit.
And it was tough going for the teams, as they faced a headwind on the long leg from Susworth to Morton.
But despite this, a respectable time was achieved by winning pair Shaun and Paul Pycroft, coming home in 44mins 22secs.
James Vickers teamed up with Chris Overton, crossing the line in 49.43.
While Matt Overton led his mum Lucy home in 50.55.
The weather was much improved by Thursday evening for the circuit racing on Lincolnshire Showground.
Valley’s leading two riders in the club’s road race league, Shaun Pycroft and James Vickers, cancelled each other out on the night, both winning one race each and coming second in the other.
