Gainsborough Rugby Club are back in action on Saturday, with the All Blacks hosting the league leaders.

Rolls Royce ride into town to provide the opposition for the All Blacks, while the Gainsborough Maori side are away at Barton’s first team.

Before they broke up for Christmas, there were mixed results for the two local teams.

The All Blacks beat near neighbours Rossington Hornets 19-3 with a convincing display, while the Maori were soundly beaten by Mosborough.

In the All Blacks game, Ryan Wood crossed the line, along with Tom Touche and Man of the Match Daniel Chadwick.

Tom Parkinson converted two tries.

The Maori were beaten 97-17 at home, as Oscar Rollings made his debut and notched a conversion, after captain Dave Woodthorpe got a try.

Other scorers were Man of the Match Rick Marsh and veteran fly-half Wayne Sandall who always puts in a good shift., Oscar Rollings kicked one of the conversions and was unlucky on another occasion when he hit the post.
