Gainsborough darts ace Paula Jacklin has taken on a jetset lifestyle in her pursuit of glory.
The Lincolnshire county star has had a busy month, with major tournaments and an international title.
She reached the semi-finals of the Isle of Man Open, before travelling to the south of Spain for the Torremolinos Open where she won the pairs event with Dutch partner Anneke Kuijten.
Then came the Gibraltar Open, and a host of victories over international players before setting up a final with Kuijten.
The Gainsborough woman took an early 3-1 lead, before she was pegged back to 33, but an average of 25.15 helped to to take the final leg and a famous victory.
A delighted Jacklin told the Standard: “I’ve got to so many finals and semi-finals this season, I was beginning to think always a bridesmaid, never a bride.”
“But I’ve been playing so well just lately, and I knew a big title had to be on the cards.”
“In the semi-finals I won 4-0 and hit a 26.60 average, I thought to myself just keep it up.”
The next international event for Jacklin is this weekend in Holland.
