LAST Sunday’s match at Fourways Fishery produced more carp than of late and Gainsborough’s Harry “The Master” Chesman was in his element with carp around and came out winner with 40-6 off peg 29.

Joe Goulding of Everton continued his fine form to take second with 34-9 off peg 3, while recent newcomer to the matches, Gainsborough’s Phil Lord, came third with 19-00 off peg 25.

All anglers taking part reported losing carp by being snapped.

The pools were not won so the money is carried over to this Sunday, 7th August, draw noon, fish 1pm-7pm.

Pleasure fishing is going well with plenty of visitors catching, especially in the two smaller lakes.

Please do not leave rods and poles unattended as the carp like to take them for a tour around the lake underwater, as two anglers found out recently.

One angler retrieved his by jumping in up to his waist. Be warned!
