Gainsborough’s Paula Jacklin upsets world number one Deta Hedman

Gainsborough’s Paula Jacklin and partner Sue Edwards won the Northern Ireland ladies pairs competition after beating the top two ranked players in the world.

The duo shocked Deta Hedman and Anastasia Dorbromislova in the final with one of the performances of their careers.

Paula checked out 2 of the 3 legs, with Sue making no mistake after Paula’s set up a 52 check out to win the match.

It capped a great tournament for Paula, who teamed up with Craig Hill and Adam Beck to take the Mixed Triples Trophy.

Paula also reached the semi-final of the singles.

The Lincolnshire County Darts side plays hosts to Lancashire on 29th and 30th October at Blues Club Gainsborough, with an 11am start both days.
