This Saturday promises to be a busy day at Gainsborough Tennis Club as it hosts a free session for juniors and welcomes the national chairman of the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association).

The junior session is open to anyone aged 16 or under and will include coaching, from 10.30am-12.30pm, at the club on Corringham Road.

LTA chairman Michael Downey will also visit the club, one of the few remaining clubs with grass and hard court facilities.

Downey will meet Lincolnshire LTA chairman John Copsey and the chairman of Gainsborough Tennis Club and Evening League chairman Phil Green.

Downey will also do a meet-and-greet with players, club officials and anyone else who wishes to attend.

The national LTA chairman will be at the Gainsborough club from 11am.
