Twelve Bassetlaw junior orienteers will be competing for Notts this weekend, in the final of the National Junior team knock-out.

The final is being held at Belton, near Grantham, and will see the top 13 junior teams from around Britain competing for the Yvette Baker Trophy.

With many teams including junior internationals in their ranks, a tough outing for Notts is expected.

Last Sunday five Bassetlaw orienteers took in a Notts Summer League event at Berry Hill, in Mansfield.

On the Long Technical Course they achieved the following results: 5th Andrew Ridgway, 7th Will Parkinson, 13th Robert Parkinson, 18th Helen Parkinson, 27th Graeme Huggan.
