Dolphins finish first in the final Derby and Notts gala

Worksop Dolphins

The junior swimmers of the Worksop Dolphins finished first in the final round of the Derby and Notts Junior gala at Clay Cross.

They accumulated a massive total of 182 points against clubs from Belper (152), Radford (131), Rykneld (111), Arnold (101) and Ilkeston (68).

Swimmers were Owen Smith (1st 50 free), Finlay Allison (1st 50 back), Luke Higginbottom (1st 50 fly), Nathan Pogson (1st 50 back and 50 free), Jasper Dennison, Matthew Lamkin (1st 50 free), Marik Goodwin (1st 50 back), Thomas Stoker , Niall

Goy, Ellie Smeeton (1st 25 breast, 25 fly) Lucy Conroy (1st 25 free, 25 back), Holly Anderson (1st 50 free, 50 fly), Hannah Webb (1st 50 breast), Lucy Ambrose (1st 50 fly, back and free), Grace Heggarty, Isabella Munro (1st 50 back), Lucy Gratton (1st 50 breast, back, fly), Amelia Denyer and Emily Birch.

The girls relay teams finished first in the 10 years and under category, 11 years and under and 12 years and under.

The boys teams finished first in

the 11 years and under category and first in the mixed nine years and under race.

The cannon event concluded the event with a convincing win for the young Dolphins.
